Open Question: What’s a good health insurance deductible?
I may have ringworm or lyme, but I have no health insurance. Before I go to the Doctor’s I want health insurance. I’m not looking to spend over a hundred, no less than fifty; would prefer between $50 to $70 a month. What’s a good deductible for this situation?

Resolved Question: How can I boost my energy and clarity?? (Hypothyroid and PCOS)?
I don’t have health insurance and after calling for rates I was told that I learned that my pre-existing conditions will not be covered. I am really desperate, I can’t afford the insurance or cash visits at Drs Offices, I don’t qualify for medicaid. I am soooooo tired and lethargic, I am tired of feeling like this. It has affected me keeping a job, my parenting and even doing housework.

I prefer a natural approach vs rx medicines. Coffee doesn’t help me anymore only leaves me jittery while still tired.

I have cut down on sugar and processed foods, but I am hungry and have no desire to eat vegies and protein all day.

What should I do, I need energy.

Thanks!
Hi Damien, That IS a bit too extreme for me, but I appreciate the response.

Resolved Question: Health Insurance: I need to know if a health plan I am thinking of buying is any good. Please advise?
I am 61, in good health, no major problems (diabetes, cancer, etc.). I am unemployed and am going to have to pay for my own health insurance and can’t afford any policy over $300 a month.

Assurant Health has given me the following quote at $273 a month but I am worried about some of the limits such as only 4 doctor visits a year.

Effective Date: 07/01/2010 Payment Mode: Monthly
Annual Surgical Max: $200,000 Plan: Health Access Plan C
Rx Card Copay: $10/$50/$75 Rx Annual Maximum: $750
Hospital Per Day Sickness: $2,000 Annual Inpatient Maximum: $200,000
Hospital Per Day Injury: $4,000 Inpatient Coinsurance: 80%
Ambulance Benefit: Included Annual Outpatient Maximum: $1,000
Emergency Room Benefit: 2 Visits/$750 Outpatient Deductible: $200
Emergency Room Copayment: $100 Network Discounts: PHCS Limited Payor Plan
(LPP) (HDIB) (WWB)
Lifetime Maximum: $1,000,000
Client(s) Sex Age Premium Details $25 Office Copay
Limit 4 visits $150
Misc Fees Optional
Benefits
Totals
Primary Female 61 $269.00 Included $269.00
Rx Drugs-$10 generic/$50 preferred brand/$75 non-preferred brand-$750 annual max Included
Association Fee $4.00
Total Recurring
Amount $269.00 Included $4.00 $273.00

United Health Care gave me a quote of $300 a month with a $10,000.00 deductible and no prescription coverage and would not allow my main doctor.

HumanaOne wanted $400 a month with a $6.000.00 deductible and and Rx $1000.00 deductible.

So far, Assurant Health is the best quote I have gotten.

Can you suggest any other Health Insurance Plans?

Thanks
