My grandmother is 84. She is an immigrant and is in need of medical care for her throat/voice. She is currently in the application process for her I-140 to obtain her green card.
Is there a place that would offer her a discount/best fare so that we can show her to a specialist and perhaps start some treatment plan? She hardly speaks because of this and we are in a slight struggle for finances, so are there any resources or suggestions you guys would have?

Resolved Question: Can someone help me understand how Dental Insurance works?
I’m only 21 and I wasn’t raised to know any of these things, so now that I have a job and need dental insurance I’m having a hard time understanding some of the lingo.
Such as what is the difference between a PPO and a HMO? The HMO looks better all around from the quotes, it’s cheaper and the benefits are better, but I might be missing the pros of a PPO.
And how do deductibles work? I looked it up on google and other stuff but they never give clear explanations.
And what is considered “emergency dental work” they only gave a bunch of medical mubo jumbo, I’m still in college I have no idea what those medical phrases mean.
And sorry about the category, this was the suggested one.
