Voting Question: I need help understanding Information on health Insurance Plan options.?
I just graduated from college and I need to find some health insurance. I’m looking at some options and they seem to be confusing. I figured out that PPO would be best for me but now there is there other category headers such as Ind Ded, Fam Ded, Coins, Coins Max, ER, OV Copay, Life max and RX Copay. I really don’t understand what these mean and the best way to choose health insurance.
Resolved Question: Why is health insurance so expensive?
Why is it so costly, that many Americans cannot afford it, so when they do get sick or need to go to the doctor, they end up drowning in debt anyway?
I can’t even afford health insurance so every winter I pray that I don’t get bronchitis because I can’t afford to go to the Dr. or even the prescription medicine. I know that’s sad…but there’s nothing I can really do about it unless I quit school, which would further set me back to getting a full-time job that will actually grant me good health insurance.
Is health insurance rising because people aren’t taking good care of themselves? Such as not eating a healthy diet, exercising, avoiding smoking, drinking, etc.? Does it have to do with the KIND of health insurance you have– HMO, PPO, etc.?
