Resolved Question: Is using abortion as justification to vote against the health care bill a legitimate objection.?
Elective procedures are not covered by insurance and they never had been.

Ninety-nine percent of abortions are an elective procedure and not covered by medical insurance.

Fundies, that means that the only time that an insurance company would pay for an abortion is when the mothers life is in danger.

In fact, insurance companies often will not cover terminating a pregnancy even when the fetus is horribly deformed and will only survive a short time after birth. Parents often have to file a grievance to make the insurance companies pay for it.

So, does this fact mean that to use abortion as a justification for objecting to health care reform to be, if not misleading, but downright willfully deceitful?

Hi Midge, did you miss this fact?

Ninety-nine percent of abortions are an elective procedure and not covered by medical insurance.

No one’s dime is spent on abortions for anyone!

Are people really not aware that elective procedures are not now, and never have been paid for by insurance, including medicaid.
“high schools in our area secretly sneaking kids out for abortions on the tax payers dime behind their parents back, then my distrust of governmental stuff is justified”

Midge, I am 100% positive that is total lies and anti-choice propaganda, which is usally made from lies.
LOL @ LottaLu. I guess plain english cannot penetrate the brain of a fundie no matter how direct and to the point that you speak. That is truly sad.

ABORTION IS NOT ELECTIVE BIRTH CONTROL AND NO TAXPAYER MONEY IS USED TO PAY FOR AN ABORTION UNLESS THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER IS THREATENED.

Now how many fundies are going to totally disregard facts just to continue to push intentional lies?

I would think that intentionally lying would be frowned on by Jesus.
LottaLue, It is revealing that not one word of your argument is factual. You are perpetuating intentional deceit just to push the anti-choice agenda.

Resolved Question: Does the health care bill state that elective procedures are now covered by insurance?
For the fundies, an elective procedure is one that is not medically necessary. Plastic surgery is sometimes considered an elective surgery, as is abortion.

Can someone explain to the ignorant fundies that 99% of abortions are an elective procedure and not covered by medical insurance.

Fundies, the only time that an insurance company would pay for an abortion is when the mothers life is in danger. Are you capable of comprehending what that means?

Insurance companies often will not cover terminating a pregnancy even when the fetus is horribly deformed and will only survive a short time after birth. Parents often have to file a grievance to make the insurance companies pay for it.

Does this being a fact put any objections to health care reform regarding abortions to be a flat out lie?

Resolved Question: Spiritually speaking, does the health care bill state that elective procedures are now covered by insurance?
If it does, that is a surprise to me.
