Resolved Question: PLEASE HELP! Will an MC-1017 Violation received in Camden New Jersey show up on a background check?
So i’m a college student, and I recently recieved an internship at Cigna corp. in Philadelphia They are now asking me to fill out this form for a background check through a private company called HireRight.
About 6 months ago I was at a concert in Camden NJ and recieved a drinking in public, mc-1017 summary offense violation. I’m 19 and wasn’t written up for underage drinking or anything. It seemed more like a traffic ticket type deal. I was given a citation, and a summons, but it wasn’t mandatory… I just paid a 75 dollar fine for the ticket and that was it.
On this form they are asking me to report “Have you ever been convicted of an offense against the law (including any conviction for driving under the influence) other than a minor traffic violation? Do not disclose any conviction for which the records have been sealed, expunged or subject to deferred adjudication.*”
Do you know if this offense is reportable or if it would even show up because its so minor. I don’t know if I should disclose the information to the employer because i’m underage. Do these offenses show up on a record? I’m really bugging out right now, I can’t jeapordize this job.
Resolved Question: I need to find a therapist…?
I’ve been suffering from depression for years, everything just keeps getting worse. I went to a psychiatrist about 3-4 years ago, but haven’t gone back since because she wanted me to see a therapist. Now i want to see a therapist but don’t know where to start…I don’t like to talk about my problems, but i need to, so i need to talk to someone who has patience and would somehow be able to help me break my shell. should i start with a psychiatrist? I’m not sure that i want to be on meds again which is why i’ve kind of been avoiding the psych. Any good recommendations in north jersey? I have health insurance (Cigna). Any idea how much i’d be paying?? I can’t really afford too much. I have my own insurance and i’m 23, but i don’t want to ask for money or tell my parents, whom i live with…
