Open Question: Why do some neo-cons oppose such a good health care plan, despite Obama’s call to fix health care ASAP?
The plan has proposals to improve affordability and lower prices, at little cost to the taxpayers.

One proposal is to give families who purchase their own insurance a tax benefit similar to the one companies get for providing health benefits. Another proposal is to pass medical liability reforms that will reduce costly junk lawsuits. Still another would allow small businesses to team up to buy insurance at a group discount. They also want to allow families to save money tax-free for a wide range of health expenses and permit children to stay on their parents’ policies until age 25.

Under the proposals, Medicaid beneficiaries would get the flexibility to choose private coverage, rather than being locked into a government-run program. Is also calling for stepping up efforts to detect and punish Medicare and Medicaid fraud, which costs an estimated $60 billion a year.

Open Question: If The Gov’t Is So Bad At Running Things, Why Are Health Insurance Companies Afraid To Compete Against It?
If, as the conservatives like to claim, the U.S. Gov’t can’t run anything without screwing it up, it would only make sense that they should be for the private AND public options. If the Gov’t is as inept as they claim, don’t you think that these private companies would kick its butt?

Many of us on the left believe that the competition would reign in the cost private insurance companies currently charge, is that REALLY the insurance industry is against a public option for health insurance?
Is it that they do not want anything that will make them reduce their profit, even if that means many people will keep having to do without, at least at the current price for deceant coverage?

Once again, doesn’t it make sense that as bad the right claim the U.S. Gov’t is, should they (companies selling health insurance) be saying, “Bring it on,” so they could once and for all prove that they are the best (and fair….yeah, right) at what they do for consumers?

Resolved Question: Has anyone had to deal with a rude caseworker at 5038 S.Price Rd in Tempe AZ?(Please read details)?
Has anyone besides myself had to deal with a rude caseworker at 5038 S. Price Rd in AZ? I just recently moved from Indiana to Arizona and I needed to apply for Q.M.B. (Qualified Medical Benefits) for AZ. I called the AHCCCS office about 9 days ago and they told me the easiest way I apply for QMB was to go online and fill out the OneEApp. Then about 4 days ago I received a letter in the mail from the D.F.R. office telling me that they received my application for food stamps. (Didn’t even know I was applying for food stamps) So, I go in there and tell the lady that I really didn’t apply for food stamps and that I filled the OneEApp out for the QMB. and then she told me in a rude manor that I’m automatically disqualified for Medicaid and AHCCCS Health Insurance because I receive S.S.I. I asked what the reason for that was and she just said I needed to call Social Security in a hateful voice. I just don’t understand why these state workers think they can treat everyone like they’re a dog.
