Open Question: How Bad Should my Eyesight Be To Require glasses?
I’ve never had an eye exam, as I’ve always considered my eyesight to be fairly good. I have no trouble reading road signs, powerpoint presentations , or the menus at fast food restaurants. However I’ve recently been thinking that I ought to make use of the vision plan that comes along with my health insurance. I figure – my eyesight can’t be absolutely *perfect*. So the question is this: If my eyes are just ever so slightly off, will I be able to get an extremely mild prescription that makes them perfect? and if so, will my insurance likely cover it? Also, will I likely be able to get a nice set of prescription sunglasses? Thanks

I went to a dermatologist a couple weeks ago for a skin cancer pre screening and they want to do several biopsies on some suspicious lesions. The problem I am having is I only have health net.I do not qualify for medicaid and because of a minor heart condition and a previous surgery for cervical cancer I cannot find affordable heath insurance,believe me I have tried for years. I also applied for care credit but I was denied because of a recent auto repo and we barely escaped foreclosure on our home. We still may lose our home because our forbearance just ran out and we haven’t heard back on the loan mod we applied for. All because my husband lost 4 weeks of work due to emergency surgery and then his hours were cut. I am not looking for charity…I just want someone to let me set up a payment plan so I can get these biopsies done. I have 8-9 that are considered suspicious but I would be happy to at least get the worst three done to start with. I am terrified That this may be skin cancer and I have 4 beautiful children that need me. Well thanks for taking the time to read this!
