Open Question: Finding Health Insurance With Suspicious Lumps?
Under my old employer’s health insurance plan, I saw a doctor for one problem and asked him in passing about several hard lumps beneath my skin. He told me they were brown fat deposits and not a problem unless they grew, multiplied or irritated me.

Fast forward three years and I no longer have the same job or medical insurance. I am noticing more of these lumps and a couple right below my sternum irritate me when I take a deep breath. There is a history of cancer in my family, so I am very concerned that I could be facing something serious.

Will I be able to find health insurance that covers the care of these lumps since I already have them? Does the fact that a physician has seen them in the past and diagnosed them have any bearing on my situation? I don’t even know if it would appear in their records since the lumps were not the purpose of the visit.

I am a 29 year old self-employed male in otherwise good health. Serious help and information would be hugely appreciated.

FriendFeed Does it bother anybody else how Obama constantly talks about how his plan is to help “working Americans.” So are people who make $150,000 a year or more (or whatever the current cut off is now) NOT working Americans?
