Open Question: Planning my first vacation without my parents. I don’t want to forget anything.?
I’m planning my first vacation without my parents. I’m 22 (not a kid), I just never go anywhere.
Anyway, I don’t think I have forgotten anything. I’m just worried maybe I will. I know my luggage is good. I’ve gotten tickets to everywhere I’m going. I have an under the clothing money belt to keep my plane tickets and private stuff in. I know I will need to tell the bank I’m going out of state so they don’t mark my card as fraudulent. I know to bring my health and car insurance cards and medications. I have care for my apartment and pets. I’m just looking for big thing I might forget to do. I’ll be gone a week. Taking a plane. Renting my first car. Ideas?
Open Question: Why do people spread the myth that anyone who walks into a hospital gets teatment?
The fact is that millions are turned away everyday for lack of health care insurance. Hospitals are only required to stabilize life threatening situations. Once that happens it’s out the door if you don’t have insurance.
I’m going to have to call LIAR ALERT on RAYNE STORM
$16,000 at $50-100 a month would take 13-26 years to pay off. That’s if they had no other medical bills for any other family member during that time.
Open Question: Info on health care issue?
Ok, so basically I’m a young adult who is still living at home so far during college (I’ll probably be here another year) and have insurance with my parents so I really don’t know how it all works.
Maybe I’m just stupid but if I understand correctly, insurance is just simply playing it safe. Meaning you don’t need insurance and if you don’t have it and stay healthy you’re better off than someone who has insurance because you aren’t paying for it when you aren’t using it. Obviously since there are companies providing insurance (meaning they’re getting profit), overall as a whole it’s better not to buy insurance than to buy it, since obviously if there’s profit for the companies then overall the costs of insurance are greater than the health care costs taken care of by the insurance.
So if that’s correct, why are people complaining about skyrocketing insurance rates? Are we forced to buy insurance? No. (now the only thing I actually know about the health care bill Obama is trying to pass is it FORCES everyone to buy insurance…..now since I don’t know much about the rest I can’t say anything about the rest….but no way in hell would I ever vote for anything that’s such a disgrace and contradiction to freedom)
Just like any products, if prices are too high, can’t you simply not buy them? If people are complaining about high health insurance rates, why don’t they simply say no?
I don’t understand…..now obviously 99% of us are not health care experts eventhough 95% of us claim to know what we’re talking about and the republicans over here say it’s the democrats fault and the democrats over here say it’s the republicans fault and we need to pass this and we need to do that and ……………….I’m pretty sure most of you don’t even know what you’re talking about, especially since virtually no one (not even Obama, as he admitted) knows what’s exactly in the bill.
So anyway…..I’m making this question to learn because I don’t know much about the whole issue and if you do know anything about it, feel free to comment. If you’re only going to attack the other side of the issue and nothing else, don’t comment. Thanks
So, 0.4 percent of the total health care costs in the USA are the profits from health insurance. So, why, exactly are we vilifying them?
