Open Question: Do people who accuse conservatives of not understanding socialism honestly think infrastructure is socialism?
Police and fire departments, highways, city sewer systems and city garbage collection are INFRASTRUCTURE. Why do people who constantly accuse others of not understanding socialism continue to fail in making the distinction?

We don’t mind paying for infrastructure. It’s Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and Obama’s axing of private insurance under the guise of “health care” that we take issue with. Why can proponents of socialism not see the difference, and why must they turn around and tell US that WE are the ones who don’t understand socialism?
Where was all this uproar? Once something is in place, it is damn near impossible to overturn it. That’s why we’re fighting so hard against what we know will turn out to be the single biggest boondoggle ever to hit our nation. Obama’s “health care” crap is going to absolutely bankrupt us if it gets in, and there will be nothing anybody will be able to do to fix it.

(You know this if you’re an intelligent, living, breathing, thinking person. You’re just playing devil’s advocate because you don’t want to admit your President is a mistake from start to finish.)

Open Question: Dealing with the pain of death?
About 8 months ago my sister in Tennessee ( I live in Oklahoma ) calls me to tell me that I need to call my dad because he doesn’t look well and she doesn’t know how much time he has. This scared and upset me right away so I called my dad. He answers the phone sounding healthy and fine and after calming myself down so he could understand me, he assures me nothing is wrong and my sister is “crazy” (let me add I’m his only child) Not wanting to risk believing him since I know he would not want to worry me, I have been trying my best to call him when I can and write him when possible. I am broker than broke at the moment and have been for the past year. I can not even afford stamps, barely able to pay rent and bills which are always weeks late due to not making enough money. I cant afford to go see my dad which is killing me because 8 months down the road hes telling me he feels bad and that something isnt right. He wont go in vivid details but only says hes “having tests done”. Hes 71 years old and has always been in such good shape and health for his age and doesnt even look 71. I cant believe that he would suddenly be sick and thats how it feels to me..sudden. It’s killing me inside thinking about it all that I cant even sleep or think about anything else. I have not seen my dad in 3 years, before that i hadnt seen him in 2 years. We have a long history which is kind of rocky and Im worried that he may not know how much I love or care for him. Hes all I have and as such Im all he has. He has no family on his side and he never married my mother so they dont talk. My sister only speaks with him when he calls her to inquire about me. So basically hes all alone and has no one which kills me even more. I would not be able to live with myself and dont know how I would continue to live if he was to leave me without me being able to see him one last time and to tell him that I love him. I just dont want him to leave alone, no one deserves that, least of all him. But theres one problem.. no money. No car. Im basically stuck in Oklahoma with no means to getting where I need to be, if only to see how he really is. Since Im not sure how serious this is , I could be just thinking the worst, but hes my father and I Cant take the chance of not believing in the worst right now, especially with my family telling me to “get in touch and connect”. Thats enough to scare anyone. I guess my question is, what do I do? I dont even have a phone to call him on a daily basis. Only phone I have is my boyfriends work phone which is supposed to be used only for business, but cause of the situation he is allowed to let me use it once every month or so… How can I get to my dad? Also when the time does come and he does leave..what will I do? I dont think I can handle this all by myself. As Ive said he has no family. My family on my mothers side doesnt care for my dad and could care less what happens to him. So its not like anyone will join me at his funeral…thats gonna hurt so much. I dont know the first thing about these things as Ive never lost a parent or a loved one nor had to take care of things after the death.. what happens? Who do I call? What If I cant afford to have a funeral or a burial? He deserves more than just a flower on the ground somewhere. If he goes, I will be left with all that responsibility and I dont know where to start. I do not think he even has life insurance. I do not want to let him down. I want him to know that I will take care of everything and that I love him with all my heart and that even though it may seem like it, hes not alone. Im losing my mind and have no one to talk too. My boyfriend provides his work phone when allowed but thats as far as he can help, he doesnt know how to support me cause he doesnt know how to deal with death, those are feelings foreign to him. I feel so very alone and cant imagine how my dad is feeling. I wish I knew what to do.

…Sorry for this being so long.
