I have never noticed anyone talk about pet insurance
Do you have it in USA ?
Also,
We have an org that it soley for cats called Cats Protection.
There are hundreds of branches through-out the country
Do You have anything like this ?
and last…
Is there a special place for people on low income and benefits to get treatment for their animal ?
We have PDSA and Blue Cross
Now our pet insurance does not cover shots or fixing (i’m getting good with US terms lol)
but it covers illness and emergency problems.
It is a private plan you take out wth many companies to choose from and a cat costs about £8 a month (not sure what that is in $…about $16 i think )

Resolved Question: Rules to apply for COBRA (health insurance coverage)?
I recently lost my job and I am told by my health insurance company, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona that my company (a bank) employees do not qualify to COBRA because they didn’t have enough employees. I thought ALL companies were mandated to participate in COBRA benefits. Also, since I had previously worked at another bank 9 months ago, can I COBRA through them?

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Choice 100 PPO plan. I live, work, eat, sleep etc in UTAH. My insurance was given to me for CALIFORNIA. Talked to Blue Cross, referred me to the Benefits Service Center for my job. They told me they couldn’t do anything about it and referred me back to Blue Cross. Said unless I had a life changing event there was no valid reason they could change it. Excuse me, this isn’t my f*ing issue. I signed up under the intent to be able to use it in Utah. No doctor will cover what is supposed to be covered because EVERY doctor is considered out of state!!! I’m wasting $200 f*ing dollars a month on useless insurance and no one can correct this? Is that right or is the company just screwing me for their own sick pleasure?
They’ve looked at my address and basically told me “WEll we cover out of network providers.”
Sure, at 4 times the cost of what it should be if they’d bothered to set it up right. I’ve also talked to my HR department. They are about as helpful as the Benefits resource center and BCBS,.
I’m looking for a new job, because this isn’t the first bull shit they’ve put me through. Unfortuantely I have a son to support and can’t leave without making sure I have a backup.
