Open Question: 1st pregnancy, paranoid and sleepless.?
hello, I am 8 weeks 2 days pregnant. Im in the process of getting Medi-cal coverage because i am not given it through my work, nor can I afford to pay for health insurance out of pocket. The process is taking so long and I have yet to have a prenatal visit. They dont seem to think it’s important to have me in anywhere immediately and i understand the process is a waiting game, but I am a wreck with worry. The only visit i had was with the clinic to verify my pregnancy. I started prenatal vitamins the night i found out i was pregnant (it was an unexpected but happy surprise). Every twinge or pain I have, I panic. I know about round ligament pains &etc, but this being my first pregnancy im not sure what is a normal amount of pain for that. I have been experiencing sharp pains on my left side for about a day and a half and i’m scared. I know I should have prenatal care, but am currently in limbo. I cant sleep. Everytime i feel that pain i think the worst. Please tell me how your round ligament pain felt. I know i should see a doctor, and im in a panic over it.. So im not looking for answers that tell me i should, I just want to hear other experiences with round ligament pain and/or if you had similar pain to mine and it turned out being an emergency. I’ll go to the emergency room if it worsens. It is intermittent and is not accompanied by bleeding or spotting of any kind.. Also please let me know if there were any of you out there with this amount of paranoia during your first trimester. I guess I just want more than anything to be able to be seen and have an ultrasound so that I know everything is fine. They should be able to detect a heartbeat at this point and when i see that and hear it I’ll rest a bit better. I didn’t think I was able to conceive as I went 6 years without birth control and nothing. To me, this is such a huge blessing.. and part of me is scared that this is my only shot at having a little one. I’m 28 years old and I want so desperately for this to work out. I’ve had other pains before on either side of my lower abdomen and in the center also, they come and go, but for some reason this one is worrying me more. I Thank you in advance for your kind answers.
Resolved Question: Why hasn’t America embraced Universal Health care?
Almost every other industrialized modern country has it.
All i ever here is how its bad and the commies do it..
I have Crohn’s disease and when i get out of high school in a few months, i may have to struggle to find coverage, i hear Crohn’s is one of those pre-existing conditions that insurance companies like to ignore.
So yea, why hasn’t America done this?
And if Obama signed a socialized coverage bill, would you support it?
at 1st person.
– no, im just pointing out the difficulty i along with 15% of america have in getting healthcare. and if u didnt no, i would have to pay just as much as you. (through tax)
barack obama stated in many rallies that he WOULD try to bring national healthcare.
Open Question: Do the following look like they should be in a “Stimulus Bill”?
The Democrats are working on a Stimulus Bill as we all know. While taking very little input from the GOP, Obama, Pelosi and Reid are going their own way with this one. Which is fine I suppose BUT….
Do YOU know what is in this so called Stimulus Bill that is suppose to help this nation in a poor economy. Please note that Obama was quoted as saying “Nothing on here looks outlandish or crazy to me”
Why dont you look at some thing in the bill for yourself. And while I am sure some of you are _____ enough to defend this but anyone, even a third grader, can see that this is the dumbest thing ive seen in a while. I will literally go insane if this bill passes with garbage like this in it. This bill is suppose to STIMULATE the economy. Instead the Dems are using this to put pork in to and work on re-election. None of these things should be in this bill. Think about the fact that YOU, YOUR FAMILY, and YOUR KIDS will have to pay for all this some day. This is a joke and if this is all they can come up with to help out our economy than we are in for a world of hurt for the next 4 years. It is going to get very, very bad here unless all of you call your Congressmen/Senators and tell them NOT to pass this ridiculous bill.
